Berry Fruit Trifle

This easy to-go dessert will make you the most popular party-goer this summer. Made with yellow cake, blueberries, strawberries and non-dairy whipped topping, this fruit-forward recipe is pretty and delicious. It can be made a day ahead of time and individualized as done in these mason jars.

Berry Trifles

Makes 6 servings

Ingredients:

4 cups strawberries

2 cups blueberries

Non-Dairy Whipped Topping (9 ounce tub), thawed

Yellow cake, made as per box directions.

Directions:

  1. Prepare yellow cake mix according to package directions for a 13 x 9 cake pan. Using your Mason jar, make 6 imprints on the cake and then cut out circle. Slice each circle in half, so you have 12 rounds. You can save rest of cake for another recipe or crumble to make cake pops later!

  2. Wash, hull, and slice strawberries and place in bowl. Wash blueberries and place in another bowl.

  3. Layer each container in the order of cake, blueberries, whipped topping, strawberries. Repeat sequence and add a few more blueberries on top. Eat right away or cover and take to your event!
